The basketball club “Žalgiris” will have a new sponsor: Kaunas club signed an agreement with the international group Civinity

The Lithuanian basketball club Kaunas “Žalgiris” has officially signed a sponsorship agreement with the international group Civinity, which controls companies providing residential and other building administration and maintenance services in five countries.

“We are glad that we have managed to attract a sponsor which is one of the most powerful players in its market, which believes in the victories of Žalgiris and is ready to achieve the similar results together. We hope that this new partnership will develop into long-term cooperation,” said Paulius Motiejūnas, CEO of “Žalgiris” Kaunas basketball team, Lithuanian champions.

According to Motiejūnas, a cooperation agreement with Civinity Group was signed for one year, with the possibility to extend it for another year.

“We cannot image Lithuania without basketball, therefore we are willing to contribute to the growth of the best basketball team in the country. We strive for victories in our business with the same enthusiasm as Žalgiris players, so we are confident that this cooperation will be productive,” pointed out Vitoldas Sapožnikovas, chairman of the management board of Civinity Group.

During the official presentation of the sponsorship agreement, which took place before the Euroleague match between Žalgiris Kaunas and Panathinaikos Athens, Motiejūnas presented Sapožnikovas with a symbolic gift – Žalgiris T-shirts. “The number 5 written on the T-shirts is not accidental: this number is symbolic as Civinity currently operates in five countries,” suggested Sapožnikovas.

Civinity Group owns eight housing administration companies in Lithuania, four in Latvia, one in Estonia, one in Belarus and two in Ukraine. The total area of the buildings administrated by the Group is over 6.88 million square metres.

In Lithuania, Civinity Group owns housing administration companies Senamiesčio Ūkis and Ozo Miestas in Vilnius, Būsto Valda in Kaunas, Debreceno Valda, Vitės Valdos and Klaipėdos Bendrabutis in Klaipėda, Palangos Butų Ūkis in Palanga, and Kretingos Būstas in Kretinga. Lithuanian-based Būsto Valda is the Group’s largest company, which administers residential buildings with a total area of more than 1 million square metres.
